What each status means
- Under Review at PSK: Application submitted, being verified
- Sent for Police Verification: SP office assigned — expect police visit in 2–3 weeks
- Police Verification Report — Recommended / Not Recommended / Incomplete: 'Recommended' = clear; 'Incomplete' needs a call-back; 'Not Recommended' may cause rejection
- Passport Printed: Sent to India Security Press, Nashik
- Dispatched: Speed Post tracking number available at https://www.indiapost.gov.in
- Delivered: Received; keep signed acknowledgement
When to worry / escalate
- No update for 30+ days: Raise a grievance at https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/grievance/registerGrievanceNew
- Police verification delay: Contact your local SP office; carry passport receipt
