Voter ID Card Download (e-EPIC): Free Official Guide 2026
The Election Commission of India introduced e-EPIC — the digital Voter ID card — in 2021. It's a PDF version of your EPIC (Elector's Photo Identity Card) that you can download, store on your phone, and use as valid photo ID. Here's the exact free process on the official ECI portal.
Who can download e-EPIC
- Any registered voter with a valid EPIC number (printed on your existing Voter ID card)
- Or new voters whose Form 6 has been approved after November 2020
- Your mobile number must be linked with your voter record — if not, you'll need to link it (KYC step) before downloading
Step 1 — Register on Voter Services Portal
- Go to https://voters.eci.gov.in (Voter Services Portal, Election Commission of India)
- Click Sign Up on the top right
- Enter your mobile number, captcha → OTP → set a password
- Log in with mobile + password
Step 2 — Download e-EPIC
- After login, click E-EPIC Download on the dashboard
- Enter your EPIC number and select State, click Search
- Verify the details displayed match your voter record
- Click Send OTP — enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile
- Click Download e-EPIC — a signed PDF downloads instantly
If your mobile is not linked, you'll be prompted to complete e-KYC first (Aadhaar-based) — takes 2-3 minutes.

- Password not received: click Forgot Password on login screen, OTP reset
